🌟 Leadership in the Lane
Karen Shines at 2nd Thailand Open!
SPM Panglima Polim is beaming with pride as we celebrate the outstanding international achievement of one of our very own Middle School leaders. Karen, a dedicated 7th Grader, recently traveled to compete in the prestigious 2nd Thailand Open Swimming Competition.
Representing herself and our school community on an international stage, Karen dove into a highly competitive field. Competing in the Under 12 category, she swam against 21 other talented athletes from across the region.
With incredible determination and focus, Karen powered through the water to secure an impressive 4th place finish! While just shy of a podium medal, placing 4th out of 22 international participants is a massive accomplishment that speaks volumes about her skill, training, and resilience.
A 7 Habits Leader in Action
Karen's journey is a powerful example of the 7 Habits principles we foster at SPM. To balance a demanding 7th-grade academic schedule with the rigorous training required for international competition, she perfectly demonstrates Habit 3: Put First Things First.
Her commitment to her sport is also a shining example of Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw, showing true dedication to her physical and mental well-being. Karen has shown us all what it means to Be Proactive (Habit 1) by setting high goals and working tirelessly to achieve them.
Please join us in giving a huge congratulations to Karen for her hard work and fantastic performance. She has made our entire SPM family proud!
