Taking Center Stage at JOINMUN 2024

Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri is proud to announce the outstanding achievement of our students at the Jogjakarta International Model United Nations (JOINMUN) 2024! Our talented delegates, Ditha (Grade 11) and Rayyan (Grade 10), received an Honorable Mention while representing the Islamic Republic of Iran in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The conference focused on the critical topic, “The Future of Nuclear Operation: To Curb Illicit Trade of Nuclear and Radioactive Materials.”

Their impressive recognition is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and skill in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking. Competing in a high-stakes environment, Retno and Rayyan demonstrated a deep understanding of international relations and the complexities surrounding nuclear operations, earning praise for their insightful contributions and collaborative approach.

JOINMUN is one of Indonesia’s premier Model United Nations conferences, bringing together bright young minds from around the world to engage in debates and discussions on pressing global issues. Retno and Rayyan’s achievement at this prestigious event highlights their ability to navigate complex topics and propose innovative solutions, qualities that are essential for future leaders on the world stage.
